Come along, on a classic motorcycle tour of the United States of America. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Highway 1, Route 66, the Grand Canyon, Death Valley and Yosemite National Park are the highlights here.
The view into the Grand Canyon is guaranteed to be one of the absolute highlights!
Here is the entire tour itinerary!
Day 01 – Flight to Los Angeles
Flight with a renowned scheduled airline from your chosen departure point to Los Angeles (connecting flights possible). Upon arrival in Los Angeles, shuttle transfer to a well located mid-range hotel, close to the airport. The rest of the day is at your disposal. Overnight stay in Los Angeles.
Day 02 – Los Angeles
Today you have the day at your disposal. In the morning you have the opportunity to join a guided city tour with a local guide (optional, advance booking required). You'll then be picked up from the hotel by bus and set off on your sightseeing tour to Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Downtown L.A. and Hollywood. Early evening tour briefing at the hotel followed by dinner. Overnight stay in Los Angeles.

Day 03 – Palomar – Anza Borrego – Palm Springs 310 km
In the morning you will leave Los Angeles to start your tour through the golden state of California. The transfer to the rental station follows, and you take over your machines. After a short briefing we will start already. You follow Highway 1, which is also called Panamericana or Dream Road of the World. You will spend your lunch break in the Long Beach area before continuing through the Palomar Mountains and the Anza Borrego Plateau. In the early evening you will reach the desert oasis of Palm Springs via beautiful curved roads. Overnight in the Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage area.
Day 04 – Box Canyon – Arizona – Prescott 450 km
Today's stage will be a bit longer, but due to the well maintained roads you will quickly reach your destination for the day. You leave the Palm Springs area and follow the date tree and fruit orchards to get through Box Canyon to Interstate 10, which you follow along Josuah Tree Park. You cross the Mojave Desert and reach the plateau, which is the center of horse breeding in Arizona. Afterwards you will ride again on a beautiful curvy road, which could easily be in the Alps, to your today's destination Prescott. This is probably one of the most famous western towns in the world. The Whiskeyrow there is well known in the whole USA and of course you can visit it in the afternoon. As a reward there is an oversized whirlpool in the hotel. Many a cold beer has been drunk there after a long tour. Overnight stay in Prescott.

Day 05 – Sedona – Highway 89 – Williams 250 km
Early morning start along Highway 89 to the old mining town of Jerome before heading out to explore ancient Native American rock dwellings in Montezuma's Castle National Monument. The New Age town of Sedona, with a stop at Red Rock State Park, is also on your way to Flagstaff, where you will meet Route 66 for the first time. Lovers of alpine passes will certainly get their money's worth again today. After a short drive from Flagstaff, you will arrive in Williams, your overnight destination for the next 2 nights. The rustic motel overnight stay takes place directly at Route 66 and in the evening you have the possibility to have a great steak dinner there.
Day 06 – Grand Canyon 360 km
In the morning you already have the possibility to take a helicopter tour over the breathtaking Grand Canyon, before you start your tour day from Williams to one of the seven wonders of the world. Your sightseeing tour takes you to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, Grand View, Lipan Point and Desert View, before you have lunch at the old trading post Cameron in the late afternoon.
OUR TIP: Top store for Indian jewelry and souvenirs! In the afternoon you drive along the painted dessert and visit the Sunset Crater. Overnight stay in Williams.
The Pacific Coast Highway 1 is an El Dorado for bikers!
Day 07 – Seligman – Route 66 – Las Vegas 380 km
In the morning you will leave Williams to soon follow Route 66 again. In the small town of Seligman you will visit “Angel Delgadillo”, probably the most famous barber in the world, who is also considered the father of today's Route 66. We have to thank him that the Motherroad is on everybody's lips again. Afterwards you will stop at the General Store in Hackberry and the Route-66-Museum in Kingman. There you will also have lunch at the Mr. Dz's Diner from the 50s. In the afternoon, Hoover Dam and North America's largest man-made reservoir, Lake Mead, are on the agenda before you roll into the glitzy city of Las Vegas. The next two nights you will spend in Sin City – the city of sin.

Day 08 – Las Vegas
Today you have the day at your disposal in Las Vegas. Your guide will be happy to assist you with show tickets, helicopter rides and all other attractions. On site, an optional shopping shuttle to an outlet mall is offered at a reasonable price. For the more adventurous drivers, a day trip on your own to the Valley of Fire or to Red Rock State Park and Mount Charleston is a good option. Overnight stay in Las Vegas.
OUR TIP: If you like, you can end the day with a dinner together and then be chauffeured like the movie stars on an optional stretch limousine tour along the Strip and into the Old Town of Las Vegas.
Day 09 – Death Valley National Park 480 – 520 km
Today you will drive to another highlight of your tour – Death Valley. Where the name “Valley of Death” comes from, you can imagine very well after this day's stage. Sand as far as the eye can see, no water and partly extreme temperatures are only a few examples. You will follow the valley, which is already back in California, and depending on the course of the tour and the opening of the passes in the Sierra Nevada Mountains*, you will reach your overnight destination in the Mammoth Lake or Ridgecrest area* in the early evening.
INFO: In case of extremely high temperatures we reserve the right to change the route along a side valley of Death Valley.
Route 66 is an absolute must!
Day 10 – Mono Lake – Yosemite National Park – Redwoods 310 km
Early in the morning you will start your Harley tour along the Sierra Nevada to visit Mono Lake with its tufa columns. Over the Tioga Pass (3031 m) you will reach the unique Yosemite National Park. This is famous for its waterfalls and magnificent scenery. You will see various sights of the park and, if you are interested, take a 1-hour hike through the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. These are the unique American redwoods. Up to 27 men are needed to embrace the tallest of them with their arms, and a Harley or car could easily pass through the holes punched in them. Afterwards you drive to the edge of the park, to your overnight stay in the middle of the original wild forest landscape. Simple lodge overnight stay near Yosemite NP. *When staying overnight in Ridgecrest we follow the southern route to get to Yosemite NP.

Day 11 – Highway 49 – Knights Bridge – San Francisco 330 km
Today we will travel along the famous Highway 49, which was already famous as a transportation route during the gold rush of 1849. On winding roads and through hilly landscapes you will reach the Stanislaus River, which you will follow for a while. There you also have the possibility to visit one of the few old covered bridges that still exist in the USA. You will spend your lunch break in the original 50's Diner, before you reach the impressive city of San Francisco at the Pacific coast in the afternoon. The next two days you will stay in San Francisco near Fishermens Wharf. Tonight you can easily explore the Wharf on foot from your hotel.
You will ride with the troop into Death Valley!
Day 12 – San Francisco 50 km
Today you have the whole day in San Francisco at your disposal. Just start a tour on foot and with the cable car, which includes Union Square, Downtown, Chinatown, the Cable Car Museum and Fishermens Wharf. In the afternoon there is the possibility to take part in an optional boat trip over the San Francisco Bay. This leads past Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate Bridge. At sunset you will ride your bikes over the Golden Gate Bridge and on to the artist colony Sausalito, also known for its houseboats. There a good steakhouse is excellent for dinner. Overnight stay in San Francisco.

Day 13 – Highway 1 – Monterey – Big Sur – San Simeon 370 km
You start in the morning with a last view of the Golden Gate Bridge to reach Monterey via Highway 1, Half Moon Bay and other famous coastal towns. This is the actual beginning of your trip along the famous Highway 1, which is part of the Panamericana and also the longest road in the world, leading from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. Monterey is also known by the Steinbeck book “The street of the oil sardines”. You will drive on the Scenic Drive, which is a part of the 17 Mile Drive and you will pass beautiful viewpoints. You reach the small town of Carmel, where Clint Eastwood was once mayor. In the afternoon, stops like the Bixby Bridge, Big Sur and Ragged Point are on the agenda. A visit to the elephant seal colony near Hearst Castle rounds out the day. You will spend the night today near San Simeon.

Day 14 – Highway 1 – Pismo Beach – Santa Barbara – Malibu – Los Angeles 400 km
Today is the last day of your tour through the golden state of California. You follow the famous coastal road, Highway 1 and 101, to reach Los Angeles again along the famous beach resorts like Pismo Beach, Santa Barbara, Malibu and Santa Monica. In the afternoon you drop off the machines at our rental station and the transfer back to the hotel takes place. The rest of the day is at your disposal for last errands. You can review the tour with a joint dinner and let it come to an end.Overnight stay in Los Angeles.
Day 15 – Flight home to Europe
In the course of the day, the hotel shuttle to the Los Angeles airport and flight home with a renowned scheduled airline (transfer connection possible) back to the starting point of your trip.
Day 16 – Arrival in Europe
Arrival at your departure point in the morning. End of the trip.
